Upcycled bleach-dye T-shirt 'Great Wave', Size S

Introducing the 'Great Wave' bleach-dye purple t-shirt! This is a one-of-a-kind piece for any beach lover out there. Filled with shades of purples and pink, offset with splashes of white like sea spray, this is absolutely one of my favourite pieces I've done.

I found this t-shirt at a thrift store in a reduced bin. The colour was once a shade of lilac, but had been washed with darker coloured clothing, turning the lilac into a grim colour. I worked on lightening up the base colour again before using a bleach mixture to add the vibrant patterns. I love how the original logo has been given a fresh backdrop where the colours can truly contrast and give it a surfer/hippie vibe. The t-shirt It measures 18.5 inches flat across the chest (pit to pit) and 23.5 inches in length (shoulder to bottom edge). The original label lists it as a UK size S.

I have washed this t-shirt after dying it to ensure excess bleach and dye were removed; HOWEVER, please be cautious and wash on low temps and with similar colours to avoid any dye leakage for the first few washes. To preserve the vibrancy of this custom piece, please avoid using fabric softeners and tumble dryers as this may cause the piece to fade a lot quicker.

This t-shirt will be packaged in plastic-free packaging to reduce any harm to the environment.
