Dyed Blue Mother of Pearl and Button Top Seashell Bracelet
I love the ocean blue colour of these Mother of Pearl chip beads and how they sparkle in the sunlight. Combined with the sweet Button Top Seashells and small metal beads, this makes a great bracelet for any marine enthusiast.
The button top seashells would have once housed sea snails and other crustaceans at the bottom of the sea before washing ashore. I found them in a box of dusty, unloved shells at a thrift store, and I just knew I needed to bring them home and turn them into something beautiful. Each shell has a unique pattern and tells a different story; they're a lovely part of nature that deserves to be seen, loved, and worn. Seashells are sacred to many cultures around the globe and hold a variety of spiritual meanings. In some cultures, they represent fertility, love, protection, the lifecycle, rebirth, and the bridge between our world and the spiritual world. Some believe they aid in giving the wearer wisdom, resilience, emotional healing, and protection.
Mother of pearl, also known as nacre, is a luminous substance found inside oyster and mussel shells. Spiritually, it's often associated with purity, protection, emotional healing, and intuition. It's believed to be a calming stone that promotes balance, harmony, and clarity in one's emotions and thoughts. Mother of pearl is also linked to the divine feminine, representing nurturing, love, and the cyclical nature of life.
This bracelet is also made using jewellery-grade elasticated thread, which DOES contain plastic, but I'm using up my supply before I switch to sustainably sourced elastic, so this reel doesn't go to waste. This bracelet will fit most wrist sizes, though if you would prefer a specific size, add a note at checkout, and I will tailor it to you.
This bracelet will come in recycled tissue paper and will be packaged in a plastic-free envelope.
