Lapis Lazuli and Green Jasper Chip Bracelet
This bracelet is full of deep tones and tiny pops of colour to contrast, making it a great staple piece. The dark lapis at the centre holds tiny bronze flecks and dark blue hues, mesmerising yet understated. Surrounding it, tiny blue glass seed beads space out the alternating green jasper chips and lapis lazuli chips, paired together to create a balanced look. Each chip is like a fingerprint, with its own unique mottling and shape, making it tactile and inviting.
Lapis Lazuli is a gemstone famous for its powerful metaphysical properties, particularly in enhancing spiritual growth, intuition, and communication. Lapis is also believed to activate the third eye and throat chakras, promoting clarity of thought, self-expression, and deep intuition. Additionally, this beautiful stone is thought to offer protection from negative energies and promote emotional healing. Lapis Lazuli is also steeped in history spanning a millennium, as it is prized for its bright blue colour and association with divinity and royalty. Lapis Lazuli has been found in ancient civilisations, including Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Persia, where it was carved into amulets, jewellery, and even used in royal funerary masks like the one made for King Tutankhamen. When Lapis Lazuli is ground down, it becomes a distinctive blue pigment known as ultramarine, which was also highly sought after in art, particularly during the Renaissance, for painting religious figures and scenes.
Green Jasper is like a stone hug, known for it's nurturing and harmonious presence. Green Jasper has been rumoured to aid in physical and emotional wellbeing, helping you balance and find a calm state of being. Green jasper is connected to the heart chakra, rumoured to help you foster love and compassion both for yourself and the world around you. Green jasper is also said to aid in spiritual growth, enhancing clarity of thought and promoting a sense of mindfulness.
These beads have been cleansed and are ready for their next home. I have taken them from broken jewellery, and some have been bought from ethically sourced places. The elastic thread is jewellery-grade elastic and DOES contain plastic, but I'm using up my supply before I switch to sustainably sourced elastic to save the whole reel from entering a landfill. This bracelet has been made to fit most wrist sizes, though if you would prefer a specific size, add your measurement to the notes at checkout, and I will tailor it to you.
