Hematite, Howlite, Agate and Glass Blue Hearts Necklace
When creating this necklace, I wanted to represent the flow state, which is a state of deep absorption and focus where you become completely immersed in an activity, often leading to feelings of joy, clarity, and peak performance. It's a state where time perception shifts, self-consciousness fades, and the individual experiences a sense of effortless action and heightened awareness. This state is not limited to specific activities; it can be experienced while engaging in various tasks, from sports and artistic endeavours to work and even everyday activities. I chose hearts to represent the flow state, as it is typically fulfilling for the soul. The shape of a heart is akin to an arrow, creating a circuit with this necklace to hopefully channel a continuous flow of positive energy, clarity, and focus. I selected blue as the primary colour for this necklace both in the hearts and the glass spacer beads as blue gives a sense of calmness, serenity, and stability, often evoking feelings of peace and relaxation.
Blue glass is particularly used in stained-glass or as an evil eye amulet, as it carries a range of symbolic meanings. Generally, it represents heaven, hope, sincerity, and piety, often associated with the Virgin Mary. It can also symbolize truth, clarity, and communication, particularly in the context of sea glass. In other contexts, blue glass, like the evil eye amulet, is believed to offer protection against negativity.
Blue howlite is a dyed version of white howlite, rumoured for its calming and communication-enhancing properties. It's associated with the throat chakra, promoting clear communication, emotional expression, and inner peace. It is also believed to reduce stress, anxiety, and anger.
Black agate is a powerful stone rumoured for its grounding, protective, and healing properties. It symbolizes strength, courage, and resilience, offering emotional balance and stability. It is believed to absorb negative energy, promote inner strength, and encourage emotional healing. I added two black agate hearts to this necklace for these reasons, so hopefully they will help to channel these feelings to you.
Hematite is one of the best healing stones out there. It's said to aid and support the body, especially your blood, and helps to detoxify it when worn. Hematite is also very good at grounding you, stabilising your energy and mind. Hematite is also said to promote feelings of safety, courage, optimism, concentration, and manifestation. I wear it a lot to help me through stressful periods.
These beads have been cleansed and are ready for their next home. I have taken them from broken jewellery, and some have been bought from ethically sourced places. This bracelet will come in plastic free packaging to lessen the harm to Mother Earth.
